Interested in backyard conservation? The Community Backyards program offers one reimbursement up to $50 after you purchase an approved rain barrel, composter or native plant(s) or a $100 reimbursement on the purchase of native tree(s) *Not all participants will qualify for the $100 native tree reimbursement.See our website for more details.

Attend one of our in-person workshops, where conservationists will teach improving water quality with rain barrels and rain gardens, why native plants are so important, and how composting improves soil conditions, among other themes to become eligible for the reimbursement.

Eligible residents will then receive a voucher at the conclusion of the workshop listing eligible rebate items. To receive your reimbursement, you must submit voucher and proof of item purchased along with photos of installed item or you can purchase an item from one of the local participating retailers. *Please register in advance so eligibility can be verified and vouchers can be created before the workshop. Those who attend but do not pre-register will not have a voucher the day of but can request to have one emailed to them once eligibility has been verified.

NOTE: Workshops are open and FREE for anyone to attend. Vouchers and rebates available are based on your home tax district. Not all participants will qualify for reimbursement on all items.
