Bundling trees to distribute

Each year, we offer conservation tree seedlings, container-grown trees, perennials, seeds, and many conservation tools and supplies during our annual spring sale.  The plants and items we offer change from year to year, although we do continue to offer the most popular species and supplies.  The sale is mostly pre-order starting mid-January through mid-March.  Purchased items are picked up from our office in mid-April.  Order forms will be posted on our Web site and in our newsletter, along with an online purchasing option.  Any profits from our annual spring sale go into our conservation fund which we use for conservation projects across Franklin County.

During this same time period, pond owners can order fish for stocking.  All species, except the white Amur (grass carp) are fingerlings.  The fish pickup day is different than for tree pickup and lasts only two hours, because customers receive their fish directly from the Fender’s Fish Hatchery truck.  Customers need to bring a plastic trash container lined with a plastic bag containing pond

Most soil and water conservation districts across Ohio have their own annual sales, too.  If your local district doesn’t have the items you are looking for, you can order from us, although you will have to pick up your order at our office.
