Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District uses G.I.S. and a variety of data layers extensively in our day-to-day operations.  Our data page contains a variety of layers that we’ve created for use in Google Maps and/or Google Earth.

Online Mapping and Data Source:

Earth Resources Information Network (ERIN) is an evolving collection of GIS-based, natural resource data layers and analysis tools in a single location.  Both statewide and local data layers are made available through this site.  Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District along with all of Ohio’s soil and water conservation districts collaborated with the state of Ohio to create ERIN.

Data Source:

Ohio Geographically Referenced Program: Ohio Statewide Imagery Program (OSIP).  OSIP is a partnership among local, state and federal government agencies to develop high-resolution imagery and elevation data for the state of Ohio to benefit geographic information system users at all levels of government.

Online Mapping and Data Source:

Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission.  This Web site was developed as a one-stop-shop for accessing regional information developed by MORPC for planning, demographics, land use, economic development, transportation, maps, contact lists and GIS data in central Ohio.
