We're hiring an Outreach Program Intern and a Natural Resource and Geomatics Field Intern

Outreach Program Intern: Join our Outreach Team in working with residents and local businesses to support adoption of conservation practices. This internship will work closely with the Director, Public Outreach Coordinator, Outreach Program Specialist, and Conservation Implementation Specialist to assist with outreach programs. This position will be managing excel spreadsheets, talking to customers, reaching out to businesses, and more. Depending on availability and interests there will be opportunities to learn more about our other conservation programs. Natural Resource and Geomatics Field Intern: Get outside this summer! We are looking for an intern to accompany and assist our conservation field staff in collecting field data for a variety of District programs. The intent is for this position to primarily assist with data collection out in the field, however weather and other circumstances will result in time spent in the office attending to data entry or data research needs. There may also be opportunities to assist at outreach events as interested or needed. The position will work mid-May through mid-August. We're hiring a Geomatics Field Technician

This position works both in the field and in the office to collect, develop and update natural resource data using GPS and GIS. This data collection includes a variety of manmade and natural resources data and is used for a variety of assessments and assisting our community partners with complying with stormwater permits. As part of our GIS Team you would play an integral role in helping better understand and protect natural resources in Franklin county. Learn more about the position and how to apply. We're filling AmeriCorps Service Positions

The AmeriCorps Conservation Implementation position will be more focused on on the ground conservation projects such as litter pickups and invasive plant removal.

The AmeriCorps Outreach and Education position will primarily help with community messaging, education and events.
