FSWCD Viewing of CWP Webcast #6: Watershed Modeling

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are having to modify our procedure for the CWP webcast series. Instead of holding the webcast viewing here in our office, registered attendees will receive a link allowing you to view the webcast remotely (free of charge). It is important to know that the webcasts are now conducted through Zoom, which limits the amount of attendees that can join and CWP wants to make sure those that have paid for the webcast have a seat in the room, so we are limiting the number of links we share to help limit steaming disruptions. Should you have trouble viewing remotely, I will still plan on forwarding the webcast recording and resources once they are made available.

Webcast Description:

Modeling is frequently used in watershed and stormwater planning to help build understanding of a problem or calculate possible changes over time when monitoring is not an option. Modeling can also be used to compare courses of action to determine effective strategies for addressing a problem and the potential cost for each strategy. Non-point source modeling tools are an important tool in estimating compliance with TMDL allocations and developing an overall watershed plan to meet water quality. In this webcast we will look at several tools for estimating pollutant loads, discuss the possible applications, and look at case studies to illustrate how a model was employed to achieve the desired goals.
