Silky willow is a native shrub in the Salicacae family that is found in riparian areas in the eastern United States.
This plant is found in swamps and along rivers and prefers partially shaded locations (2-6 hours of direct sunlight per day). Like many willow species, it is adaptable to various soil and water conditions, fast growing, and relatively short-lived. Silky willow is a great choice for stream bank stabilization projects or enhancing wildlife areas, as it attracts pollinators, provides wildlife nesting habitat, and acts as a host plant for various caterpillars.
This plant is being offered as a 2-foot long live stake bundle.
