When it comes to understanding environmental regulations, one of the best resources available for businesses is the Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP) created by the Ohio EPA.  This program replaces the Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP).

The Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP) provides free and confidential environmental compliance assistance to small businesses across the state of Ohio. The SBEAP team can help you understand how to comply with regulatory requirements and can help you prepare permit applications, notification forms, regulatory recordkeeping, and reporting. Whether you are starting a new business, taking on a regulatory role in an existing business, or are just wondering what regulations may apply.

Their new website is still being updated, and landing pages for each division are to come, but you can still find staff contacts for fielding your questions.  We also kept some of the most common fact sheets related to business operations (which used to be available under OCAPPs website) and those can be found below.
